Blended Learning for Understanding and Education (BLUE)

The objective of the program is to provide a learning environment where students utilize technology and staff support to maintain their academics while serving a suspension for disciplinary action. The program is technology-based where students earn credits or keep up with classroom assignments and content through a web-based curriculum. This program is for middle school and high school students who are in need of additional support which is a Tier 3 RTI service. Social work services are available for students. Hours of operation are 8:40AM - 2:25PM.

BLUE Standards- A Day in the Life of a BLUE student

  • Breakfast is served from 8:40 to 9:00AM.
  • Work begins at 9:00AM. Students log in to edgenuity.com and use the assigned username and password.
    • There is no talking, cell phones, or non-approved activities. No putting head on desk or sleeping. No caps, hats or other head coverings. Only one student allowed out of the room at a time. All RLHS expectations also apply in the BLUE program. Student progress is monitored frequently, including idle time.
  • Debriefing occurs each day at 2:00PM.
  • Dismissal is at 2:25PM.
