Round Lake offers several theater/drama courses. Some courses may have prerequisites.
Introduction to Theater Arts (9-12 grades)
Introduction to Theater Arts is a semester-long course where students will gain knowledge and appreciation of themselves as individuals and performers.
Acting 1 (9-12 grades)
Acting 1 is a semester-long course, ideally taken after Introduction to Theater Arts. Acting 1 goes into more depth on play analysis and acting.
Acting 2 (10-12 grades)
Acting 2 is a continuation of students' previous work in ACting 1 on group and individual exploration of play production.
Drama Production A (10-12 grades)
Drama Production A allows students to take a look at the collaborative nature of a theatrical production.
Drama Production B (10-12 grades)
Drama Production B allows students to take a look at the collaborative nature of a theatrical production, but from the other side of the curtain.
Stagecraft (10-12 grades)
Stagecraft will build upon students' previous work in Acting 1 on group and individual exploration of play production. This includes methods of theatrical design and application through set construction and techniques, costume building and proper artistry.
