Chess Team

The Round Lake High School Chess Team is more than just a chess club - we are a competitive group that competes in IHSA-sanctioned events with other high school chess teams around Illinois. Our goal every season is to take RLHS Chess to the annual state tournament, held each February in Peoria, IL.

You can play casually or compete in our tournaments - Everyone is welcome to attend our practices to learn more about chess and connect with other chess players. We are an inclusive group!
