Black Student Union

About

The Black Student Union (BSU) is a student-led organization that focuses on the development of young African American leaders in the district, promoting positive perceptions of the African American community, and raising awareness about culture & diversity within the district. The BSU participates in a variety of projects across the district and within the community. Some of the projects that we have been working on include a mentoring program with elementary students to provide positive role models of color, working with human resources to encourage teachers of color to apply within the district, and taking the lead on programming for the Black History Month celebration at Round Lake High School.
