About
Our Vision
By developing critical thinkers, Round Lake High School Mathematics department empowers students to expand their professional opportunities, and understand and critique their world; while experiencing the wonder, joy, and beauty of mathematics.
Integrated Mathematics Pathway
The Round Lake High School Mathematics Department follows the Common Core State Mathematics Standards and the Integrated Pathway. This pathway integrates algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics into each course, rather than creating separate, standalone courses. Math 1 is roughly equivalent to a traditional Algebra 1 course, Math 2 is roughly equivalent to a traditional Geometry course, and Math 3 is roughly equivalent to a traditional Algebra 2 course. Upon completion of these core courses, students take a fourth-year course that best fits their future goals.
